Policies to help our customers relax and rejuvenate

The following are policies of the Thai Wellness Massage to ensure our customers have a beneficial and wonderful experience when visiting our facilities.
Reservations
To help ensure you get your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling them as far as possible to make sure they're available. A credit card is required when booking to guarantee your reservation. Gift Certificates may also be used in place of a credit card to hold your appointment. We keep this information as part of our cancellation policies and only charge your account as needed on the date of your scheduled service. I've shared the details of our cancellation policy below.
*Please notify the receptionist of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.
Online Reservation Request
The online reservation system is used to submit requests for a reservation. The requests are reviewed and if required, the timing is adjusted to facilitate a positive flow for customers and staff.
A staff member may email you with the time modification if required. You may also receive a call for credit card information to secure the requested reservation. Please review the Deposit for Reservation below.
Deposit for Reservation
Thai Wellness Massage reserves the rights to request a credit card to obtain a $50 deposit per person for reservation of services. The $50 deposit can be used for payment of services using the credit card. Or, the $50 credit card deposit will be credited back to the customers credit card if the customer will make payment in cash.
A customer has the right to refuse to provide a credit card for this deposit and Thai Wellness Massage has the right to refuse reservation of the customer(s) reservation request.
Note, to obtain the cash deal promotions, cash must be tendered as payment for the services rendered. No partial payment by credit card will be allowed for the Cash Deal Promotions. Partial payment by credit card will void the Cash Deal Promotion and the full price will be charged to the credit card.
Cancellation Policy and Fees

Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the office scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by calling the office.

Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $50 ($30 for a half-hour session). Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged in full for the scheduled service. We recognize the time of our clients and staff is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason.

When you miss an appointment with us, our therapists not only lose your business but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, our staff may be functioning in an “on call” status and may have traveled to the office specifically for your service. For these reasons, we are obligated to compensate our staff for their time.

All services require a credit card or gift certificate to guarantee a reservation. Please have your credit card and/or gift certificate ready when booking. You will not be billed unless there is a cancellation or no show. Upon checkout, guests may choose their method of payment and are not obligated to use their credit card for payment.

Pregnancy / Prenatal Massage

We do not offer this service to our customers until after four months (16 weeks) of your pregnancy have been completed.

 

When booking your appointment, you must inform us that you are pregnant. If we are informed of the pregnancy at the time of arrival, we reserve the right to refuse the delivery of this service as we will not have the opportunity to  plan the staffing for your service. Refunds will not be offered.

Arrival to Your Massage Treatment

We recommend you arrive for your appointment 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time find parking, complete the appropriate client form (new clients), change and prepare for the service. All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule reducing your original treatment time.

Late Arrival Policy

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule therefore we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged.

No Show Policy
At Thai Wellness Massage , we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification may be charged in full for the scheduled service.
Nudeness Prohibited
We require all customers to maintain clothes on during the massage. At no time should a customer become nude or naked. Underwear is the minimum amount  of clothing accepted in any and all massage sessions. Thai Wellness Massage and its employees,  maintain the right to refuse providing service to customer(s) if they become or/are nude/naked.
Informed Consent
Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit with us you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out this form.
Scope of Practice
Thai Wellness Massage therapists are Massachusetts’s licensed professionals and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association.

 

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.
Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Our therapist may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.
Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries
Our Massage Therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.
The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time.
The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
Confidentiality and Conversation
We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody outside of our staff without your express permission.
You may choose to talk not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are available for purchase at our website or in person.
Gift Certificate Policies
  1. A Gift Card can be redeemed to cover a portion or total cost of a massage service.
  2. The customer must pay the difference in cash or credit card for services exceeding the amount on a gift card.
  3. Customers can only use one Gift Card per person to cover a portion or total cost of a massage session.
  4. Multiple Gift Cards cannot be stacked and redeemed to cover the cost of a massage service. 
  5. Gift cards cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.
  6. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
  7. Thai Wellness Massage is not responsible for lost gift cards.
  8. Gift cards are nonrefundable.
  9. Gift cards are honored when presented before the start of the massage session.
Gift Certificate Recovery
If seeking to recover a gift certificate that was purchased in store or online, please email admin@thaiwellnessmassage.net.
Resolutions are typically resolved in 72 hours and not at the time of service.
Recovery efforts are best effort and successful recovery results are not guaranteed.
If the gift certificate is not available at the time of service, the customer is responsible for the full service amount. 
Cash Deal Promotions
Pregnancy/Prenatal massage services are not offered at the Cash Only discount. 
Payment with Gift Cards does not apply to the Cash Only discount.
Payment
Thai Wellness Massage accepts all credit cards, US cash, and gift certificates. Payment is due when services are rendered. US Cash is required if you schedule a massage leveraging the Cash Deal.
